Our Classic Aquarium range is designed for the price-conscious aquarist, yet designed & built with the experience of time-tested hobbyists. Each tank is handcrafted and expertly constructed here in Brisbane, Australia, using brand new float glass and high-quality, purpose-specific silicone. Every aquarium meets our strict safety factor of at least 2.2, ensuring peace of mind and long-term reliability.

The Classic range features full cross-bracing at the top of the aquarium for exceptional structural strength and durability. Bridges are positioned at a minimum of every 600mm to provide added support. Practicality in the details: 2 part sliding glass lids are notched out at the corners to accommodate cords and filtration pipes.

This Aquarium –

A large display (approx. 550 litres) offers an impressive 5-foot (150cm) aquarium with excellent width and height. This size marks the point where aquarium keeping becomes more serious, opening up opportunities for a wide variety of species, breeding projects, and ambitious aquascaping layouts. With its stability and volume, it is suitable for both advanced freshwater and more comprehensive marine setups.

Freshwater

• Large schools of tetras, rasboras, barbs, danios, or rainbowfish
• South American Cichlids (Oscars, humpheads ect)
• African cichlids, Malawis & Tanganyikans
• Discus or groups of angelfish
• Gouramis (pearl, moonlight, opaline, dwarf)
• Corydoras, loaches, larger catfish, and plecos
• Community setups with livebearers, rainbowfish, or mixed medium-sized fish

Saltwater (with proper equipment & setup)

• Clownfish pairs or groups
• Gobies, blennies, firefish & small to medium wrasses
• Dwarf or medium angelfish
• Tang species (yellow, gem, kole, bristletooth, etc.) suited to 6-foot swimming space
• Reef-safe invertebrates (shrimp, hermits, snails, starfish)
• Ample room for large reef structures with mixed corals — soft corals, LPS, and SPS

The 550 L volume provides fantastic flexibility in which species can be kept, great stability in water chemistry, and lots of room for growth . Whether you’re creating a thriving community, a species-specific breeding setup, or an advanced reef aquarium, this size offers the freedom to truly explore the hobby and design a display that makes a bold statement.

All of our classic aquariums come with a styrofoam foam base to suit.
