Pine timber stands and hoods:
The humble pine fish tank stand is often where most hobbyist first enter the hobby. This cost effective and durable design will give fish keepers many years of trusted stability for their prices aquarium without breaking the bank.
Our pine stands are built with furniture grade pine timber, imported from New Zealand (minimal knots and defects) with a clear wood grain pattern. They are supplied raw and it is highly recommended to stain or paint the stand prior to use giving the timber some protection from water.
Powder coated steel frames:
Powder coated steel frame are used on large custom aquariums.
Optional extras such as aluminium, Stainless, Hot gal dipping and zinc Phos coatings are also available for saltwater aquariums.
Our steel frames can also be cladded with various panels using magnetic strips which greatly improv es accessibility when cleaning the aquarium. Note: This is not recommended for aquariums in public place or where young children may be present.
Our panel range is very extensive from basic gloss white melamine board to two pack finished and moisture resistant MDF.
Pelmets:
Pelmets are a top hood section that’s sits on top of the aquarium. The key benefits of a pelmet include: hiding the top of the aquarium and its equipment, hiding cables and controllers and lights, providing less risk of fish jumping out of the aquarium.
Pelmets come in a smaller 160mm high version that is removable and acts as a small, neat trim, perfect for freshwater aquariums. A larger 300mm high pelmet is use when the hobbyist is using larger lights that may need to be suspended above the aquarium.
Various rails and mounts can also be integrated into the pelmet to assist with mounting lights and controllers etc
Most pelmets are made with a pine frame and a matched cladding/panel used for the cabinet.
