Our Classic Aquarium range is designed for the price-conscious aquarist, yet designed & built with the experience of time-tested hobbyists. Each tank is handcrafted and expertly constructed here in Brisbane, Australia, using brand new float glass and high-quality, purpose-specific silicone. Every aquarium meets our strict safety factor of at least 2.2, ensuring peace of mind and long-term reliability.

The Classic range features full cross-bracing at the top of the aquarium for exceptional structural strength and durability. Bridges are positioned at a minimum of every 600mm to provide added support. Practicality in the details: 2 part sliding glass lids are notched out at the corners to accommodate cords and filtration pipes. For added protection, we include black corner strips on vulnerable edges where needed.

This Aquarium –

A long display aquarium (approx. 370 litres) provides an impressive 6-foot (180cm) swimming length while keeping the width, depth, and overall volume manageable. This balance makes it a fantastic choice for showcasing active schooling fish, while remaining practical when it comes to equipment, running costs, and maintenance.

Freshwater

• Medium to Large schools of tetras, rasboras, danios, or rainbowfish
• Mid-sized cichlids (angelfish, keyholes, dwarf cichlids, discus)
• African cichlids
• Gouramis (pearl, dwarf, honey)
• Bottom dwellers such as Corydoras, loaches & small catfish
• Plecos (bristlenose or smaller species)
• Community fish like livebearers, barbs.

Saltwater (with proper equipment & setup)

• Clownfish pairs or small groups
• Gobies, blennies, firefish & smaller wrasses
• Dwarf angelfish
• Reef-safe invertebrates (shrimp, hermits, snails)
• Great layout potential for long reef structures, soft corals, LPS & SPS (for experienced keepers)

The length creates a striking panoramic effect and plenty of open water for active species, while the moderate width and height keep the tank accessible, easy to maintain, and cost-effective compared to deeper, bulkier aquariums. An excellent choice for aquarists wanting the drama of a 6-foot display without the challenges of a full extra-wide tank. We also think size suits fish rooms where aquariums are stacked in racks, they are a great size for grow out tanks.

All of our classic aquariums come with a styrofoam foam base to suit.
