Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026

Aquariums Brisbane provides local pickup, local delivery and Australia-wide freight options across a wide range of our products.

Because many of our products are large, heavy, fragile or made to order, delivery methods, pricing and timeframes can vary depending on the product and destination.

Australia-wide freight

Aquariums, stands, cabinets, aquascaping materials and other products may be freighted throughout Australia where suitable freight services are available.

Large aquariums and cabinetry may require specialised freight, protective packaging, crating or palletising. Freight charges may therefore be quoted separately depending on the size, weight, destination and service required.

Where freight cannot be calculated automatically at checkout, please contact Aquariums Brisbane for a freight quote.

Delivery timeframes

Any delivery or freight timeframe provided is an estimate only unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Delivery times may be affected by manufacturing lead times, product availability, freight carrier schedules, destination, weather, access conditions and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Made-to-order and custom products will generally require manufacturing time before they are ready for collection or dispatch.

Local pickup

Pickup from our Brisbane workshop is available by appointment.

Customers must wait until they have been advised that their order is ready before attending for collection.

Customers are responsible for arriving with a suitable vehicle, restraints, padding and other equipment required to safely transport their order. Aquariums Brisbane may assist with loading where practical, however the customer remains responsible for securing and transporting the product safely once collected.

Large aquariums should never be transported with water, substrate, decorations or other contents inside them.

Delivery access

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and advising us of any access restrictions before delivery is arranged.

This includes stairs, narrow doorways, lifts, steep driveways, difficult site access, restricted parking, long carrying distances or any other factor that may affect safe delivery.

Additional charges may apply where access differs materially from the information provided or additional labour, equipment or time is required.

Receiving freighted orders

Customers should inspect freighted goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If there is visible damage to the packaging or product, please take clear photographs and contact Aquariums Brisbane as soon as possible.

Where possible, retain all packaging until the matter has been assessed.

Prompt notification helps us lodge and manage freight claims with the carrier and does not limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

Failed or missed deliveries

Where a delivery or freight service cannot be completed because of incorrect delivery information, unavailable access, nobody being available where attendance is required, or another matter outside our reasonable control, additional delivery, storage or redelivery charges may apply.

Freight carriers

Aquariums Brisbane may use different freight providers depending on the size and nature of the order and the delivery destination.

Once an order has been dispatched, transit times are subject to the freight carrier’s network and operating conditions.

Risk and consumer rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

Where goods are lost, damaged or otherwise affected during delivery, Aquariums Brisbane will assess the circumstances and provide any remedy required by applicable law.
